What's in a name?
The "Plus" in 60 Plus does not necessarily mean that this program is aimed
at those individuals who are 60 years of age or older. The "Plus" should also be interpreted as meaning "positive." The many positive aspects of aging and the positive resources available in Northwest and West Central Ohio are featured weekly on the locally produced series 60 Plus, that airs Thursdays at 8:30 PM on WBGU-PBS.
Host Catherine Pratt talks with experts about the realities of aging, covering topics as varied as education, health, economics and a dose of entertainment. Viewers will also be treated with visits to beautiful places and will get a chance to meet interesting people who call our area home. Tips for better living, successful aging and ways to
play an active role in your community will be explored, with an emphasis on the contributions and value of mature individuals.
WBGU-PBS also invited seniors from Northwest and West Central Ohio to become involved in the production of 60 Plus. Volunteers will be given responsibilities that complement their skills and experience - or that match
a special interest. No one will be asked to do more than they are able - and training will be supplied as needed. If you would like more information about volunteering or would like to offer program suggestions, please call WBGU-PBS Producer/Director Tom Zapiecki at 419-372-7007 or email him at: zapiecki@wbgu.org
